As part of developing partnerships with Ukrainian and European companies, Simcord continues its close and meaningful cooperation with the Research Center of Economic and Legal Solutions in the Area of Application of Distributed Ledger Technologies (Research Center of Blockchain Solutions). This activity aligns with the Company’s sustainable development strategy as well as the mission and goal of the Research Center of Blockchain Solutions.
The innovative Agrobon project became one of the winners in the Agro&Food category of the Science&Business — GIST Pitch Days competition for knowledge-intensive start-ups, which was held in March 2023 with the support of our U.S. partner — the U.S. Department of State’s Global Innovation through Science and Technology initiative (GIST). Agrobon was first presented at the Research Center of Blockchain Solutions competition and subsequently selected to represent Ukraine among the top five Ukrainian projects at ICT Spring 2023, the prestigious global tech conference of new digital and venture projects in Europe, held in Luxembourg on June 29–30, 2023.
Simcord participated in ICT Spring 2023 as a technical partner of the Research Center of Blockchain Solutions in the development of advanced technical solutions for the Agrobon project. During the event, dozens of meetings were held with delegations from investment companies, resulting in partnership agreements aimed at developing the Bitbon System infrastructure. The participants of the conference asked questions about the project as well as the capabilities of Regional Operators and showed great interest in the potential of the Bitbon System not only for the agricultural sector with Agrobon as an example but also for banking, protection of intellectual property rights, light industry, and many other fields.
It is worth mentioning that IT Cluster Transcarpathia, which includes Simcord as well, was also represented at ICT Spring 2023 in the Agrobon sector. With the support of the Regional State Administration, the IT Cluster strives to create a favorable environment for the comfortable and productive work of the Transcarpathian IT community through the development of businesses, education as well as IT infrastructure and ecosystem.
All in all, the Ukrainian pavilion at the Global Tech Conference ICT Spring 2023 in Luxembourg was popular among participants from different countries, while certain arrangements and partnership agreements aimed at developing the Bitbon System infrastructure were reached at the event, which will allow launching new services and components to provide our Users with even greater benefits and advantages.
Apart from its scale and the key idea of presenting new and innovative concepts in various fields to Europe, this event is extremely important and valuable for Ukraine, since the Ukrainian pavilion was presented at the Global Tech Conference ICT Spring 2023 for the first time.
